Which documents do I have to provide when renting a condo/house?
Most of the landlords ask for the following documents:
- Rental Application
- Employment Letter or proof of income
- Credit Report with FICO credit score.
Why do I have to provide my credit report?
Landlords want to be sure you are able to pay for your rent.
Even if you go to apartment building - they will do creadit reports on their own. The catch is -
each enquiry lowers your credit score unless that enquiry is made by you.
